1、 Application and characteristics:
This product is mainly used in various industrial control systems for digital and analog signal transmission (RS232/RS422/RS485 interface, TTY interface, 0-20mA, 4-20mA current loop, PLC control bus and other system equipment), to protect equipment from overvoltage and surge current caused by induced lightning strikes, as well as damage to equipment caused by overvoltage and surge current generated within the system. This product adopts a multi-level combination protection circuit, which has the characteristics of low protection level, fast response speed, reasonable structure, and convenient installation.
2、 Protection principle
The protective circuit of this product adopts a combined two-stage protective circuit. The first stage adopts a switch type protective device (gas discharge tube GDT), combined with the isolation resistor element used between stages that can withstand surge impact, which can fully discharge most of the surge pulse current into the ground; The second level uses voltage limiting protective devices (transient diode TVSS with extremely fast response time) to effectively clamp the voltage at the output end, enabling the equipment to operate safely and normally.
