The opening of the meeting was presided over by Secretary General Sun Lan of the Academic Committee on Building Lightning Protection of the Chinese Architectural Society. The attending leaders, review experts, and members of the drafting group were introduced, and a brief introduction was given to the preliminary project approval and drafting process of the "standard"; Yu Yinquan, Chairman of the Academic Committee on Lightning Protection of the Chinese Society of Architecture and Vice President of the China Institute of Building Standards Design and Research, welcomed the attending experts and representatives on behalf of the Lightning Protection Committee, and highly praised the new form of jointly holding a group standard review meeting with the China Meteorological Service Association; Vice President Zhu Xiangrui of the China Meteorological Service Association elaborated on the work of the China Meteorological Association in carrying out group standards, affirmed the joint work of "one standard and two numbers" with the China Architectural Society, and put forward specific suggestions for both parties to establish and improve cooperation mechanisms, quickly formulate standards to meet market demand, promote the internationalization and application promotion of standards; Secretary General Li Cundong of the China Architecture Society believes that the cooperation between the society and the association in the preparation of group standards is a new attempt, and the society should carefully summarize and actively promote it. The meeting established a review expert committee with Ding Jie as the chairman and Cheng Xiuhu and Sun Chengqun as vice chairmen.

The discussion in the venue was lively and rigorous. The experts reviewed and discussed the standard architecture, keywords, important indicators, and specific content. The preparation team carefully answered every question raised by the reviewing experts, including providing the source of terminology and parameter indicators, explaining the principles and reasons for determining indicators, reporting the specific situation of the experiment, explaining the process and basis for establishing each specific clause as a standard. Finally, after discussion, the review opinion was reached - the "standard" review materials are complete and meet the review requirements; Filling the gap in the testing standards for multi pulse surge protectors in domestic low-voltage distribution systems, promoting the standardization process of the product testing, and providing performance requirements and experimental methods for the safety of the product; The technical requirements, testing methods, and result judgment for simulating lightning strikes on multi pulse surge protectors have been proposed. The reviewing experts unanimously approved the "standard" review and hope that the preparation team can improve it according to the revision suggestions of the review meeting, and form a draft for approval and submission. To provide effective standard support or basis for simulating lightning strikes on multi pulse surge protectors in low-voltage distribution systems, ensuring the lightning protection safety of low-voltage distribution systems.
